水族实验楼采用简约的体量设计，注重功能，从功能出发获得空间特质，从空间特质提炼空间模件，从空间模件深化立面模件，令建筑功能、空间及立面形象三者充分融合为一。

建筑平面呈南北对称布局，地上共2层，最高处建筑高度为18.00米，无地下室。打破以往实验楼封闭单调的立面模式，结合功能及使用者的行为模式，在满足合理能耗的前提下，采用预制玻璃幕墙及金属格栅，屋顶主要采用金属瓦屋面，造型宛如一艘“科学之舰”，屹立于海边，与不远处的博物馆遥相呼应，彰显沿海地段浓厚的科技与人文气息。

水族实验楼是整个教学区轴线上的重要节点,位于主轴线临海最东端。建筑坐北朝南，东西向出入。同时以其特殊的功能性，作为未来教学区区内最重要的实验平台，是整个教学区的核心，也是教学区面向大海东西轴线空间上最终的高潮。

 The aquarium experimental building adopts simple volume design, pays attention to function, obtains space characteristics from function, refines space modules from space characteristics, and deepens elevation modules from space modules, so as to fully integrate building functions, space and elevation image.       The plane of the building is symmetrical in North and south. There are two floors on the ground. The highest building height is 18.00 meters. There is no basement. Breaking through the traditional monotonous vertical model of laboratory building, combining with the function and user's behavior model, on the premise of meeting the reasonable energy consumption, the prefabricated glass curtain wall and metal grille are adopted. The roof mainly adopts metal tile roof, which is like a "ship of science", standing on the seashore, echoing the distant museum, and highlighting the strong science, technology and Humanities in the coastal area. Interest.       The aquarium experimental building is an important node on the axis of the whole teaching area, which is located at the easternmost end of the main axis near the sea. The building is situated north to south, east to west. At the same time, with its special function, as the most important experimental platform in the future teaching area, it is the core of the whole teaching area and the ultimate climax of the teaching area facing the east-west axis of the sea.
